Adirondack Fishing
Fly Fish or Spin Fish the Adirondacks
Whether fly or spin fishing, there are many rivers and creeks to fish in the Adirondack and Tug Hill Regions. Some offer roadside parking and others areas require some hiking for access. We will consider your needs and abilities when selecting a spot for you. Full day trips put you on the water at first-light. Half day trips can either start at first-light, or you can “catch the hatch,” where you go out in the late afternoon and fish until dark.
As a general rule, this is not "trophy" fishing as most fish are stocked and the remote streams we fish for Brook Trout are all catch and release. We provide all necessary equipment (fly or spin fishing) for the trip, but you are also welcome to bring your own equipment if you've got a favorite rod or two. Our full day trips include snacks and lunch. *June is by far the best month for fly fishing on these trips! Want to learn how to fly fish? We'll practice all of the techniques earlier in the day and then test our new skills later in the day. |
